My Day At The Met

Today in my fashion merchandising class at LIM College, we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Walking up, I got flash backs to my obsession with Gossip Girl (so much that I watched it twice).

We specifically went to attend the China: Through The Looking Glass exhibition. It was magnificent to see all of the dresses on display. They are beautiful and honestly, the pieces are a work of art.

This dress is my favorite from the exhibit. The structure of it is beautiful and the crystals glisten in the lights.

After we finished at that exhibition, we were free to roam the rest of the museum. These are some of my favorite pieces.

At the museum, they also have a beautiful rooftop garden that overlooks central park. The views from the top are magnificent, as you can see from my pictures.

I loved going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The museum is gigantic and I didn't get to see nearly everything in the three hours that we were there. I would love to go back and see more if I get the chance to. If you plan on going, definitely plan to be there for a while and make sure you have a map; it is easy to get lost.

About Me

Welcome!

My name is Lauren! I am 17 years old from a rural town in northwestern Pennsylvania. I am very excited to begin blogging and sharing my experiences and opinions with the world!

From the time I was little, I have always loved getting all dolled up and playing dress up. If you would have asked me what I wanted to do, I would have said that I wanted to be a designer and have my own store. As I got older, my plans changed, but my love for fashion did not. Now, I hope to go to school in New York City and study fashion merchandising, hoping to one day be a buyer.
